Basic Info
Name:.:stuck between the past and the present:. Lavi
Bio
Everyone who lives in Animus has lost something important to them. It's the price to be paid if you don't want to float in an endless abyss. But when that price ends up being his Innocence, what exactly does that make a man who was only playing at being an Exorcist to begin with?

This is a fictional character journal for Lavi as played on [info]spirits_rp, by [info]asmaria.

Full Name: Lavi (Bookman Junior)
Age: 20
Series: D. Gray-man
Profession: Bookman
Lost: Innocence, but got it back when the barrier fell

History/current plots:The spirits wanted a price, and it had to be important. Lavi wasn't willing to part with his memories, and a frustrated exchange of words led to a slip of the tongue, resulting in his Innocence as the price instead. When it all came down to it, despite the ties he had gained over the years, Lavi was a Bookman first and foremost.

Now he dedicates his time to learning all that he can about the world of Animus, its people, and how over time even the war of the Earl and the Black Order have leaked through to this side of things. A normal human doesn't always escape the troubles they entangle themselves in so easily though, and there are enemies who aren't so quick to forget old affairs.

His second Winter, Lavi suffered an unfortunate encounter with the Noah, Tyki Mikk. Ambushed on a trip to check whether or not Lenalee had vanished from Animus, Tyki assaulted both Krory and Lavi, making good on a threat from months prior where he promised to 'discover if he really had a brain or not'. As a result, Lavi's memory was affected severely, although he managed to recover most of it, making a very slow recovery health-wise too.

In an effort to keep the Bookman clan's knowledge alive and safe, he took on an apprentice and assistant in the machine, Tres, whose memory had been wiped on his arrival to Animus, but who had also proven to be a logical and reliable ally. But due to many occurrences of his programming being compromised, Tres withdrew his apprenticeship in order to keep Lavi safe, once again leaving Lavi as the only Bookman.

After a lot of consideration and enough time for his memory to heal, Lavi came to the conclusion to take on the Bookman title, thus attempting to drop his 49th name. Animus was too small of a world to take on consecutive others when everyone would remember him. With no purpose to an alias, succeeding to the Bookman line was the only option. Only shortly after he did sever his ties, however, did the walls of the barrier come crashing down in a fit thrown by the former Archangel Michael.

The Bookman was witness to the fall of the spirits and the barrier's disappearance, but as the walls fell down something happened that no one saw coming. He found himself caught up between the Exorcists and friends he had distanced himself from, only for each of them to regain the prices that they had lost without the spirits to keep them from them any longer. With his hammer back he faces the dilemma of which path is really right, and who he really is supposed to be.
